Greetings citizens of the northern city,
I wish to address an issue that I'm sure most of you are aware of.
Recently I was enemied to your city. I misunderstood one of your laws,
and thought myself within them. I was wrong. I accept this because it
was my mistake. I -Fully- intend to become unenemied as soon as is
allowed. I have no intention of breaking your laws. I never have. I made
a mistake in understanding one of them, and as I'm sure you can guess, I
now understand it.

I want to make something -very- clear to you. Despite Degar's best
efforts to claim otherwise, I have no intention of bringing any fight to
Ashtan or it's citizens while within your walls. I understand that some
of you will feel the need to attack me. I will of course defend myself,
but if at all possible, I will not kill my attacker. This is as plain as
I can put it. I wish no quarrel with Ashtan. I have no intention of
disturbing the peace within your walls. Any claim otherwise, is a
blantant lie. I have helped defend your city against invaders numerous
times, and recently. I will continue to do so at the best of my allowed
ability. -I- have no intention of invading, causing any harm, or
otherwise hurtin Ashtan.
