What a load of crap.

Dear gods, I can't believe it. I finally got angry enought at the kind
of crap flying around on this board to post something on it... So take
it or leave it, this is what I have to say. What follows are entirely my
words alone, I'm not ghostwriting for someone else who's too afraid to
speak for themselves or mindlessly spewing Sartanic verses like some
sort of pathetic zombie.
Lets get a few things straight, particularly with Diamondesce's recent
post. There is a difference between serving a cause and being a pawn.
Serving a cause means that you chose to do the will of your guild, city,
order, etc voluntarily. This is called 'loyalty' for the unenlightened.
Being a pawn means being like our dear friend Lodi, who cannot see past
the Sartanic "truths" and mocks his enemy, taunting them as if he
himself had a spine, only to make sure it's known that its Sartan's
"truth", not he, who calls Darknight weak.
Darknight himself is neither a hero nor a fool. He did what he thought
he had to in the face of the situation he found himself in. Those who
chose to follow him did so of their own will. For taking a stand,
perhaps they should be praised... though to think that they could move a
guild simply by leaving it and acting like they did something monumental
was a little less than bright. At least they did something on their own
and for themselves. Good for them.
Now about what happened to Darknight, and what he is doing now - hiding
from his attackers... I'm not sure if you Mhaldorians have noticed yet,
but he's been turned into a maggot. I don't know what kind of insults he
may or may not have hurled at Sartan, so I won't comment on the fairness
of that, but he is nonetheless entirely incapacitated in combattive
ability. I really just don't get how you can think it somehow "the right
thing" for someone who has been so hindered to attempt to do more than
find a safe place to hide. I'm sure you Mhaldorians were teaming him
anyway, jus tto prove how much "stronger" you were than him. Also, I'm a
bit suprised at how much offense you take at his doing this then running
off. Isn't that -the- prevalent Mhaldorian tactic? Act tough, kill a few
newbies, chase down and gang up on a few people, then run like hell when
actual resistance comes around, then shout "tough guy" things about how
stupid and weak and spectacularly bad your enemies are? I mean come
on...
Well there, I've said that... now for a little preventative maintenance,
though I'm sure it won't keep me from catching alot of crap for this
post anyway.
Yes, I am Infernal by class. Yes, I once followed Sartan, but would
never make that mistake ever again. No, I do not hate Lord Sartan, nor
do I hate any other god, I firmly believe that decent respect must be
kept for all the divine at all costs. No, I would not ever join the
Maldaathi, nor have I ever been one (sorry to disappoint all you
Maldaathi who kept begging me to 'rejoin my true brothers' or some such
crap like that.) No, I do not hate all Mhaldorians, I just strongly
dislike a good number of them, though some few that I have met I do
believe to be reasonably worthwhile people at least, some better than
that. Mhaldor I believe to be a harbour for thugs, fools, pawns, and the
worst that Sapience has to offer - though again, the majority of its
population doesn't fall into these categories . And before you say it, I
probably do count as 'weak' to you by definition of the seven "truths"
because I don't act like a smartass, bigmouthed, bully with a chip on
her shoulder and condescending sneer on her face. I don't feel it my
duty to oppress the weak, or any such other crap either.
So here's to Darknight for standing up for something, at least. And
here's to all of you who aren't blinded by the seven lies and totally
unable to speak for yourself.
