Greetings! The Oakstone pricelist has undergone some changes, so we are
making this post to inform you all about the new prices.

A couple notes on the formation of this list. Some time back, Oakstone
endeavored to create a new pricelist as some of the values of herbs had
changed in the many years since the pricelist was first created.
However, the list Oakstone produced was found unsatisfactory, and the
project was started anew. The list below was created by the three
forestal guilds, with Oakstone's role being to organize the first
efforts to collaborate. Oakstone supports this pricelist, because it was
created and agreed upon jointly by the three guilds, which have begun
enforcing it.

I would also like to comment on enforcement, since there has been some
confusion in the past about Oakstone's purpose in maintaining a
pricelist and role in enforcing it. Oakstone maintains a list of
recommended minimums only. We believe that a uniform minimum pricelist
prevents the undervaluing of concoctions, which protects the economic
interests of all harvesters involved and is therefore to their benefit,
and ultimately protects Nature by preventing herbs from being devalued
to the point where obscene amounts of harvesting are necessary to turn a
profit.

However, herb prices do not directly impact Nature's welfare, and
therefore Oakstone takes no role in the enforcement of the pricelist. We
merely facilitate the list's joint development by the guilds, and offer
it as an official set of minimums, suggesting that people strive to sell
at these prices or higher. The guilds may choose to enforce the
pricelist upon their members as a matter of policy. However, Oakstone
itself offers the list only as a recommendation and does not punish
deviation from it. We simply encourage everyone to follow the list as we
believe it benefits everyone to have standard prices.
