I did consider myself fairly well-versed in the ideology of Destruction,
but I no longer claim so now that our newly-manifested Goddess, Lady
Makali may now define it Herself. However, here is how I hold
Destruction within my thoughts:
Destruction is an essential cohesive force in reality -- the female
embodiment of the cycle of life. Destruction can be defined as Decision
-- taking from "What Can Be" (possibility) and making "What Is"
(reality). This is easily parallelled by the embodiment of Destruction
as Female (whereas Creation is Male). {The less mature readers might
have a tough time swallowing this.} Male sends a plethora of its
reproductive potential to the Female (possibility), and the Female joins
with only one (Decision, reality) to conceive (a new child, new
possibility). Therefore, Creation and Destruction are a cycle.
Possibility is created, a Decision is made, and that Decision creates
Possibility anew.
Destruction and Creation are necessarily intimately linked. Without
possibilities, Decision is impossible. Without Decision, there is no
Reality -- not only is everything possible, everything is true [this may
be one explanation of the Chaos Realm -- an anti-Destruction, as it
were: all things but one are reality].
Before you go fumbling words over the negativity of Destruction,
remember the definition before the connotation. Destruction is the
manifestation of a decision, and is absolutely necessary for the
rational cohesion of reality. I could explicate further, but I'll save
space and lose less readers by simply saying that those who would wish
to hear more can contact me themselves.
May the Lady Makali, Goddess of Destruction bring Decision and the
Responsibility associated with excercising Her Domain unto all Sentient
life.
Penned by my hand on the 6th of Scarlatan, in the year 360 AF.
