Death and Destruction alike?

Depends on what stance you take on them. I'd say they are alike. Both
are just natural conclusions to the cycle, and both can be seen as a
launching point for the next turn of the wheel. From birth a person
moves through their cycle towards their eventual death, there isn't
anything evil about death, it just is. From there our soul moves onto
the next stage, what that is, or what the gods have planned for us from
there is unknown, but in my opinion it isn't the finality that some fear
it to be.

Destruction is much the same way, it is just a natural part of
existence, everything moves towards destruction and entropy eventually,
where those patterns that have been established eventually break down
that is just a natural aspect of things. It like Death isn't evil,
people can cause destruction in the name of good or evil, but it like so
many things in existence is above either and only our impressions of it
bias that belief. When people consider destruction they focus on only a
part of it, that part that which is the "Break Smash Annihilate" force
that is commonly seen and remembered. There are other facets of
destruction though, there are positive aspects to it. Take a forest fire
for example, it ravages the forest destroying it, but it also clears the
area for new growth and through the burning provides nutrients to help
the young grow. The patterns that are crafted in life are not finite,
they degrade over time, and destruction is ever present. It tears at
what is, either causing adaptation or clearing for the next pattern to
be placed on realities weave. There are aspects to fear, but also
aspects that should be given the respect that it deserves.

Erm.. Yeah, I think I'm done with the philosophical stuffs now.
