I would like to discuss my beliefs on this Oakstone vs. Rosirine issue.

Venyon has a problem dealing with controversy and it seams that he can't
handle mature discussions between adversaries because he has snubbed me
(imagine that a Heirophant snubbing someone) for a discussion between
him and I about over-harvesting. I accidentally over-harvested in the
Black Forest years ago and paid my fine and suffered through my
sentence. I can see where Venyon would claim that Rosirine was "yelling
at him" when actually she was trying to get his high and mighty
stubbornness to view things at an other angle.

It is unfair when the letter of the law is followed but not the meaning
behind it. (Thank you Ashtan for that great quote). Every single
over-harvest should be reviewed on an individual basis and in a prompt
and timely manner. In this instance you say Rhakshai that because of
"Rosirine's belligerence and her display of the attitude that she was
above Oakstone law, the idea of the referendum was dropped and we tabled
the issue." I assure you that Rosirine was not being belligerent. Any
one of you would react in panic if your live blood were being taken from
you for -one- accident. You state that "the referendum was dropped and
we tabled the issue." If this is not a display of the abuse of Oakstone
powers I do not know what is. This one statement tells me that you
decided to forget about Rosirine's case because she was trying to fight
for her rights as an honest and law abiding forestal. This is the sole
reason why you "tabled" the issue. It has nothing to do with "Hierophant
changeovers and miscellaneous intervening." It is your blatant overuse
of your God given powers. Rosirine has a right to a speedy punishment it
is very unreasonable that you should wait 11 years to even consider the
issue of her punishment. You say "We were also harassed by Narses and
Raelene." I personally know both Narses and Raelene, and I know that
they have very high personal values. I assure you that their arguments
on the subject were well-spoken educated responses to the unfair
treatment you have shown to Rosirine in this instance. You -are- "slow,
grossly unfair", and should have been "complained of to Lord Lupus as a
method of forcing us to agree on a punishment." Any punishment at all is
better than 11 years without an answer. We forestals do not wish to be
above the law. We wish for the law to treat us fairly and on an
individual basis.

Rosirine's over-harvest came at a time of important Oakstone History.
The plants in the world by some godly miracle began to grow in very
unusual ways. You yourself admitted it by changing the harvesting laws.
You yourself should admit that there are some instances where the law
does not pertain to the individual.

Rosirine did all this over harvesting in a short period of time. You
write your post as if she repeatedly did this over a long period of time
to make the offense look like she was doing this deliberately. You did
not forget about Rosirine. I see that as clearly as the wrinkles on the
back of my hand as I write this post. You conveniently "tabled" the
issue to punish her further than your laws allow.

I have not over-harvested recently and I am saying. Your laws need to be
reformed. You need to sentence people in a just and timely manner. You
need to judge each individual case. I am a forestal and I admit an
organization like Oakstone is needed to unify the forestals, defend
nature, and punish those that deliberately (please note the operative
word) harm nature. I think, perhaps the organization needs to be larger
to encompass a larger group of forestals. Each individual case should be
voted on. I definitely think enemy status should be delayed until the
sentence actually occurs, so that you can not abuse your powers which
you clearly have done in this instance.

And Qwilleran, any intelligent person can tell by your posts alone that
it is not worth discussing any important issue with you because
1) You do not care
2) You think you are always right and
3) You don't know what the heck you're talking about most of the time.
