On a related note, you misunderstand what happened in Moghedu. It was
not Shallam that came to the defense of the Mhun people, it was not the
Church. It was the world. Shallam's cowardice, as you call it, was only
part of the reason for the throng of deaths inflicted upon Mhaldorians
who tried to impose themselves where they shouldn't.
