Greetings, folks of Saipence.

There's a force that exists in this world, sometimes it acts gradually,
sometimes it comes in a rush - it's called change.

The (proposed) pact between Hashan and Eleusis is simply a sign of that
change. I'm not going to be as naive as to say Lord Twilight doesn't
have followers in Hashan, as I belive he does - but let's look at the
facts, we went to war with his order over the removal of his shrines,
and that doesn't exactly do a lot for a city's sentiment against the
aggressors. How many wars end with the members of each side kissing each
other? Therefore, I think it's fair to say that if anyone proposed to
adhere to what Twilight says now, they'd be lynched/thrown out of office
etc.

If a Divine ordered you to slaughter your friends, betray your city,
crush your guild etc, would you do it? I'd hope in the most part the
answer would be no. Mortals were created by the Logos, but he did not
create them as servants for the Divine's own bidding. It is the mortal
that choses to join an order and follow a particular path. It is a
mortal who makes the decision over their path in life. The Divine should
be highly respected of course, but not even a Divine can overcome the
basic human instinct of common sense.

Regarding the Sapling - Hashan did not plant the Sapling, may I point
out - we protected it. It grew of it's own accord, a symbol of healing
of damage done in the past. This alliance is an advancement of that
healing.

Think not of the past, but look to the future.
