Eleusis/Hashan Alliance

While I am sure that this subject is not meant to be public, it has
nonetheless gotten out and I feel that it needs to be addressed here so
all may know the truth.
For those that are unaware, Eleusis is considering an alliance with
Hashan. Now while this doesn't sound like any big deal, in reality it is
a travesty against Nature.
In order that we may fully understand this we must travel back to the
beginning of Hashan. The beginning of Hashan began with the overrunning
of the forests. The forestalls were duped into allowing Hashan into the
forest, whence they proceeded to clear cut the Northern Ithmia in order
that they might build their city.
You may be saying to yourself, "So? What does this have to do with the
price of tea in Ulangi?" I will tell youHashan lied to the forestalls to
get what they wanted. Their destruction of the forests mattered not to
them. They didn't hesitate a bit to clear cut the forest when they were
ready. This clearly shows their lack of interest in the forest.
Now you may be saying to yourself, "ok, but the people that did that are
long gone." While this is true, the same God has led the city until just
recently. Do you seriously think that if the Lord Twilight and his
followers were willing to harm the forests once, that they wouldn't do
it again? What about the Darkenwood? While it appears that no lasting
harm came to the forests by performing that ritual, nobody new the
consequences of those actions. Do you really think that Lord Twilight
and his followers were concerned that Nature might be harmed? Doubtful.
They were concerned with what power their actions would gain them.
Perhaps you are saying, "But, Hashan planted trees to show they were
sorry for their actions." While this is true, only TWO trees were
planted. How can anyone possibly think that two trees can make up for
half of a forest destroyed? In the history of Hashan they have done
nothing for the forests that didn't gain them something in return. What
is it they seek to gain in this alliance?
One the other side, What is Eleusis doing seeking an alliance with a
city? The forestalls have protected nature fine on their own for
countless yearswhy suddenly is an alliance with a city required to do
this?
I find it interesting that the Lady of Nature has decided to take up
residency in a city. While I am not one to question a divine for their
actions, I must say it goes against all that nature has stood for since
I first entered the realm.
Another thing that strikes me as odd is the fact that Lord Twilight once
leashed a red haze upon the forests. Yet we hear no mention of this. Why
is the haze of Lord Twilight less important than the haze of Lord
Sartan?
This whole alliance issue is rather disturbing. There are many questions
unanswered, many things that don't make sense. The forestalls are
heading down a very dangerous path in seeking an alliance with a city,
especially one with Hashan's history.
If you have read this far, thank you and I look forward to your
intelligent response.
