Just to put a well needed break into the current monotonous threads I
thought I'd issue my regular report as to the status of Mhaldors Martial
Law.

Its still there.


There that was easy.

Additionally, I wish to share a bit more information to go with it.

I get a lot of novices, both guilded and NOT guilded (I know these are
not anyones concern directly but if you *cough* come across one in some
way, reminding them of this would be of great service to their
lifespans) novices who come into Mhaldor and try to use "I didn't know I
was in Mhaldor" or "uh, I'm in Mhaldor?" or "How did I get in Mhaldor?"
as excuses to get out of being held accountable for Martial Law
violations. The sign that leads to Mhaldor reads "IN-Maric the Ratman of
Mhaldor" so ignorance is not an excuse. Do tell all novices you work
with directly or indirectly not to go into places without == reading the
signs first == and knowing where they're going. Blindly walking into
-anywhere- is pretty silly. Blindly walking into Mhaldor is also silly.
Blindly walking into Mhaldor, then refusing to leave, or dragging their
behind to leave, or arguing with the citizenry about Martial law is not
just silly but deadly. Do understand, that if the novices have a
recognizable prefix we do try to get the guilds involved as often as
possible to avoid having to bring violence upon the rears of these
novices, but, sometimes no one in the guild's help scroll is available
and with novices who bear no recognizable title, that's just not
possible.

So, in summary, we ask with all forwarning and kindness one can muster,
to please better educate your novices as to the intelligence of reading
signs, and listening to the warnings they recieve without argument or
other novice-oriented posterings.
