Domination

Greetings all.
I now choose to take part in the customary waste of money for no reason
than making a point to people who couldn't care less or don't
understand.
Whoever claimed that Evil isn't about domination is well, talking
cobblers. "Greatness is the pursuit of domination over the weak." Thus
says the coda of the Seven Truths of Evil. Why do you think that three
of Mhaldor's Guilds might fairly be described as lawful-evil? Because
that is the mindset best suited to domination. The weak and foolish are
just pawns before our might and we don't bother with diplomatic terms
such as "populous re-education" or "civillian enforcement" - what is
wrong with jus plain and simple "conquest"?
Even bribery, my favoured artform, is a form of domination, where you
pit your goods against the desires of your mark. If you are good and the
mark is not a complete woose, you will generally win.
In fact, you could go as far as to say that there are seeds of Good and
Evil in everyone and thus anyone wishing to cultivate others' such seeds
is actually practising a type of subtle domination - the education of
novices in your thoughts and deeds. "Indoctrination" this is called and
while it may not be as blatant as moving in an army into a peaceful
village and taking control, it is a most insidious form of domination,
in as much as it is self-replicating as the newly brainwashed novice
seeks to "educate" others in a similar manner.
If people eschewed ALL forms of persuasion, however benign or low-key,
wouldn't we all then have our Gods-given right to fail miserably?
Greatness is the pursuit of domination over the weak... works for me!
Lord Guiliaume Rorek Silverblaze,
Archmage of Mhaldor, Philosopher of Evil,
High Thane Kharak-Stormfist, Baron Grimcrag,
Duke of Khorzara and Chieftain of Clan Duergar.
And if that lot bothers you, you can simply call me "sir".
Penned by my hand on the 8th of Valnuary, in the year 354 AF.
