Pain and Cruelty, and Evil in Nature

Lions do not attack a deer with cruelty, or with
cruel intentions. They attack for food, and they
attack with the intent to kill as quickly as possible.
This is doubtless not in an attempt to be humane, but
rather in a sense of urgency regarding hunger, making
sure the prey does not escape, and strictly out of
survival instinct.
By your reasoning, a person who pulled a large thorn
out of your foot for you would be cruel, because
they caused you some pain. Most however, would
consider that compassionate, humane, and even
friendly. Definitely not an application of Evil.
Evil exists in Nature for a very simple reason.
People are part of Nature.
Animals and plants, for the most part, have absolutely
nothing to do with evil. Its biology in action,
survival instincts, and a very finely tuned
system that is pretty well balanced. Except where
people are taken into consideration.
Evil and Good are moral considerations. They
involve thought and intent of purpose. The nonsentient
life of nature does not consider moral imperatives.
Rationalize your feelings how you wish, you are
certainly entitled to your own opinions. Even though
they are so far from truth that only those blinded
by service to Evil, and wishing more propaganda
on their behalf, will be giving you any credence.
