Latus, you stated, "How do animals apply "pain" or "cruelty" to each
other? I have seen many things, but never have I seen a fox torture
another fox."

I said nothing about torture so I will not even respond to that portion
of your post.

Pain is defined as "usually localized physical suffering associated with
bodily disorder (as a disease or an injury); also: a basic bodily
sensation induced by a noxious stimulus, received by naked nerve
endings, characterized by physical discomfort (as pricking, throbbing,
or aching), and typically leading to evasive action"

Cruelty is defined as "the quality or state of being cruel"

Cruel is defined as "disposed to inflict pain or suffering: devoid of
humane feelings"

Humane is defined as "marked by compassion, sympathy, or consideration
for humans or animals"

Based on the previous definitions, when the lion attacks the deer, drags
it to the ground and proceeds to rip it apart with it's teeth (injury
and physical discomfort), he is inflicting pain. The deer when it
realizes that the lion is after it attempts to run (evasive action).

The lion is disposed to inflict pain on the deer in order to kill it. As
we all seem to agree that a lion has no compassion or sympathy for the
deer there should be no argument regarding the fact that the lion is
devoid of humane feelings.

Thus by the definitions above, the lion is cruel. When the lion attacks
the deer it enters the state of being cruel (cruelty).

Thus as you can see, the lion is the perfect illustration of applying
pain and cruelty.

Quick note on other points, If you go back and take a closer look at
what I wrote, I never said that Nature is Evil. I stated, Evil exists in
nature
Thus Rangor your entire post is pointless as it addresses a totally
different topic.
