My return

Hail Achaea.

Yes I have returned to Mhaldor and I intend to stay there. Look after my
manorhouse in Ashtan, people - I will drop in on it from time to time.
No, I am not in the Dread Lord's Order and I have no current intention
of doing so. I lean more towards Lady Indrani these days, even if my
severed soul is Lord Sartan's for eternity.
Shallam, I was brought up, and I still have affection for the gleaming
spires - a beautiful sight at dawn and dusk.
Ashtan, I became a Warlock 90 years in, my home is still there and I
still like the place, even if I can never find the subdivision when I'm
looking for it...
But my loyalty belongs to Mhaldor with its carnivorous plants and
spinetinglingly adorable screams of pain. Home is where the heart is as
they say, more so for a Dwarf.
Then again, I said a while ago that I just wanted to retire to my Ashtan
rose-garden and potter around watering the plants without the aid of a
watering-can. That is still true, but when my soul remains Mhaldor's,
how can my body and mind rest? Rose-garden, I will return.
But for now, I'm that infamous and untrustworthy possible contender for
"longest-standing Achaean rogue". Evil go with you all.

Lord Guiliaume R. Kharak-Stormfist,
Duergar Archmage and Baron Grimcrag.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Lupar, in the year 353 AF.
