Greetings All!
As you know, one of the forums available to you is the Poetry forum. In
an effort to show the world what exactly we are capable of, I hereby
announce the first semi annual bardic poetry contest.
The contest will run for the duration of the year 352. Each bard may
submit 2 poems for consideration by a panel of Celebrity judges,
including yours truly. The poems may be in any format, but points will
be awarded for degree of difficulty, grammatical accuracy, creativity,
and how well they capture the essence of the subject matter, among other
things.
The poems should be posted to the Poetry board. At the time of posting,
please send me a message with the post # of your poem. You are welcome
to post additional material to the board, but if you post more than 2,
please message me which 2 you are submitting for contest consideration.
At the end of the contest, Prizes will be awarded. First prize will be
10 credits and my guildfavor. 2nd Prize will be 7 credits, and the
guildfavor of a secretary. 3rd prize will be 5 credits. I will be
soliciting additional prize donations, which may include forged goods,
herbs and divine favors.
You are all splendid artists. Let us show the world what the arrival of
the Bards means for the production of creative work in the lands, and
make Scarlatti proud!
