Judging by the number of women who have whelped your offspring
('bloodline show Horatio'), it's no surprise you should prefer the
bedchamber to the torture chamber.

I trust that any friends I have in Mhaldor do not think so little of me,
that they would let me descend into weakness and live.

Lady Selene (Public 11933),

I respectfully submit that I think any divine realm which interferes
with a fundamentalist adherence to Lord Sartan's teachings has no place
in Mhaldor. That said, I am neither any kind of authority within
Mhaldor, nor am I anybody who can speak for Lord Sartan.

I fail to see, however, how love is compatible in any way with the
Sartanic virtues of cruelty, discipline, and lack of conscience. Albeit
that I am at least interested in Your reasoning if this is not so.
Perhaps my mortal mind has not understood the full ramifications of Your
teachings.
