Before I begin, let me just say that I was pleased with the number of
people that submitted poems. It was heartening.
And, let me also say that while many fine poems were submitted, one
clear winner emerged: Tancred Tasalan. He truly has the soul of a
bard and it emerged in his fine poems about Achaea. I will be posting
both of his poems in seperate posts (one is quite long).

Now, second and third places were more difficult, but in the end,
Meurydice came in second, and Topaz came in third.

A summary of the poems submitted by the winners:
Tancred submitted one poem entitled 'Fallen' that is about his lover,
Lucrecia's, imprisonment in the Chaos Plane. While this was a fine poem,
it was his epic 'Final Resting for Travian Shea' that made him the clear
winner.

Meurydice wrote an excellent poem entitled 'Philosophers of the Garden'
that focuses on Epicurus. Finally, Topaz penned an impassioned plea
for peace in our time darkly entitled, 'An Achaean Experience.'

All four of the poems mentioned above will be posted by me in following
posts.

Congratulations to the winners! I have constructed a new item, in their
honour, called a Tasalan lyre. Each of the winners will receive one,
and Tancred will receive 250 lessons besides. Meurydice will receive
100 lessons as well.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Miraman, in the year 201 AF.
