Hashans Place in the World

Yea... I had to.. the more I read it and watched your post sitting
there, I couldn't help myself. *grin* Hail again Sapience!

(anyone not interested in mostly useless rambles about a mostly useless
existance - Hashan- then feel free to RN because I'm just entertaining
myself now...much like how Jarik entertains himself IN Hashan.)

Hashans identity with Darkness goes far beyond a longtime patronage. The
Dark Father, Fathered-Hashan. He Founded, Hashan. The Founding fathers
of "The Crown" are some of the most infamous of then-era Twilighters who
did so much to mold what the world knew or believed of Darkness, are
some depicted as statues along the Parade of Founders. Darkness is not
an image associated with Hashan, it is the very foundation of what
birthed the city-state, of Hashan. Interwoven, if you would, into the
fabric of what makes Hashan what it is today. Though, you wouldn't know
that for how her children have so turned against her Father, much like a
spoiled child who didn't get her desert.

Additionally the Twilighters, destroyed a HUGE amount of forest land in
order to get the space to expand and build the city into what it is now.
This created a huge rift between Hashan and Darkness, and The Forest
powers, Lady Gaia, and her followers. That remained a vital part of the
energy of what fueled the power of that city for so long as everyone
knows, one can most efficiently succeed with the constant challenge that
strife provides. (for more on that read Help Sartan *wink*)

Twilight walked away when his child turned on him with such scorn some
years ago and Hashan now has a new city leader, (who incidentally is an
Ex-Twilighter) who has brought in the quite personable Lord Neraeos to
"replace" Lord Twilight (used very loosely) as one of the Triad who
patron Hashan. (No disrespect intended but a stepfather never truly
replaces a childs birth-father however capable and loving that step
father is) In addition, he has also brought in Lady Demeter to replace
Lady Ourania as patron of the Sorcerers. (Both Nature-divine) For those
of us who know the history of Hashan, we scratch our head in confusion.

I look around my home here in Mhaldor and it would go into double digits
how many have scoffed at Hashans weakness and moved to a city more
representative of the Dark Strength and Power that Hashan once could
claim as her own. Now aside from many of our favorite bashing grounds,
what is your purpose Hashan? What do you do besides enemy people for
stealing panties, and having friends who are thieves, and... for
defending themselves against the attacks of others? And argue, lest we
forget what you seem to do best of all, second only to losing raid after
raid.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Lupar, in the year 349 AF.
