The Red Fog that blankets Mhaldor's outlying area has not destroyed
all plantlife. There have been grasses and trees growing amidst it,
evidence of life. No, you will not find roses and buttercups. You
will not find kola and you will not find weed. If you look closely,
though, you will see. Sometimes, you need not even look closely
for it, as it will find you.

One of our City's celebrated products, the bloodshot, is brewed
from spiced whiskey, red ale, and the juice of a local plant, the
lycopod. This drink is sold in a local bar for a mere twenty
sovereigns.

Are plants able to live amidst the Red Fog? Yes. Strong plants.

On another note, if you are looking for plants to harvest and
make gold from, you would be correct in that you cannot
find that sort of plant in the immediate surrounds of the City.
I trust that this has not prevented many forestals from doing well
financially, otherwise.
