Mhaldor and the Red Fog

Greetings Sapience,
Once again, I'm here to speak about the Red Fog that Mhaldor and their
Divine continue to harbor. If this bores you, I urge you to skip the
bost. However, judging from my inundated mailbox and the spam of having
to carry 4 conversations at once the past few days, I think much of
Sapience has some sort of opinion on the matter, whether they are for
the removal of the fog, or against.
First off, I'd like to start by stating that I'm not here to debate any
matter about whether the red fog harms Nature, or defend myself in any
way from the *thug* perception that Watchman so subtly portrayed of me.
One, I believe that the red fog *does* in deed harm Nature as do many in
Sapience along with many of the citizens that harbor it. Two, those who
know me, know I am a man/dragon of high ideals and morals. I will not
act unless it is upon my beliefs. Those who do not know me, believe what
you will. I frankly do not care. Nothing will stop me from my intended
path and course of action.
In response to what Watchman has told me is Mhaldor's official response
to my plea to remove the red fog, I am very disappointed to say the
least. While your city, or rather, you might find my "overconfidence"
amusing, I would like to know which rock on your island you seemed to
have scooped up the opinion that I was being overconfident and
dictatorial upon your city. I have stated time and time again, I do not
own your island. I do not own your city. I do not proclaim myself to
have ANY power over a Divine such as Your Lord. I am a mere mortal, a
mere dragon. Nothing more. I did not ask for your city to kowtow to my
ideals, rather I asked for your city to respond respectably to my
outstretched hand of faith. Not that my faith is any diminished however,
at least in your Tyrannus. In all talks with Khoraji, I have had nothing
but the utmost respect for him. He has at least entertained talks of
lifting the red fog, and seems to understand that I am not lording over
your city, but rather wish to see something that hurts Nature, hurts me,
be removed.
In response to my threats to Mhaldor if the red fog is not removed. I
don't proclaim to be able to do much in that respect. While many, in
Mhaldor, and outside your city might think that the slaying of dozens of
guards is a great deed, to be honest, it does little more than fuel the
hatred for the red fog and the city and citizens that harbor it. To
waste my time to merely fly into your city and tank a dozen guards at
once without sipping a health vial does nothing for me. Frankly, I'd
much rather be doing other things. If you've noticed, I don't even waste
my time to pick up the gold that your wraiths and assassins drop. It's
not worth my time. When your citizens do rise up in arms occasionally, I
must admit, the combative side of me does get fired up. However, once
again, I'd much rather be doing other things. I'm sure those of you who
know me, must admit I am a bit of a gambling addict *sparkle*.
Therefore, since you have officially batted away my extended hand for
cooperation, feel free to enemy me. I did threaten to act upon Mhaldor
and its citizens for my hatred for the red fog ain fact. That should be
more than enough reason I would suspect. I wish to express my sympathies
to your tyrannus in any case. While I know that he does not require any,
he is a man of honor, and that is something that I, and hopefully all of
you, have to respect. Thanks again Khoraji.
Finally, I plead to the citizens of Mhaldor. I know many of you have
spoken with me the past couple of days, wheter is was to ask questions,
state your own opinion for and against the removal of the fog, or to
simply say hi to a dragon. I thank you for your time, and I hope that I
have been welcoming to your tells and messages. I found much surprise in
the fact that the greater proportion of you actually didn't care for the
red fog your own city harbors. I thank you for being able to express to
someone that has acted to violently upon your city. I hope that you can
understand that I still must continue to act upon my current course, not
out of hatred for the citizens of Mhaldor individually, but rather as a
collective city. While I know that I might be naiive to try to make a
point by singling out Mhaldorians, I still feel the need to make the
point that perhaps you shouldn't be in a city that harms Nature,
something that all of us, whether Evil or Good, need at some point or
another, whether it is the scenery or simple herbs and salves. Accept my
apologies in advance. Respect your current Tyrannus, but also know that
things aren't always perfect or set in stone within your city, or in any
other city to be truthful. Cities change, people change, hopefully in
time, Mhaldor will change. For some reason however, I do not think that
it will be in the near future.
Thanks again for dealing with my long-windedness. While I always wish
for brevity, I just feel that there is a lot to be said. Be well
Sapience.
