Worldwide game

Greetings, Sapience!

In celebration of the first (relatively) peaceful Sarapin, I will
be organizing a game for the enjoyment of all. Not all rules are
set in stone, since this will be a massive, multi-continent event,
but what follows is a basic outline of the game. Suggestions
aren't just allowed, they're encouraged!

After selecting the competitors (more on that later), two to five
teams will be formed, depending on the response, each consisting
of about 12 people. Each team will be sent to a different
continent. They will not be allowed to leave for the duration of
the competition.

Each month, the teams will be brought together to compete for
necessities (like food), rewards (gold and credits), and for the
right to remain whole. Every four to six months (depending on how
it all works out), the team(s) which did not earn the right to
remain whole will vote out one of their own. This unfortunate
camper will be removed from the competition and sent back to a
dull life on Sapience.

When the combined numbers of the teams is down to a managably low
number, all remaining competitors will be combined into one group
on one continent. Monthly competitions will still be held, but
the rewards will be individual, not for the team. The last
few remaining will be rewarded generously.

The cost to compete, if selected, will be 10k. If this is a bit
steep for you, you might be able to get a sponsor in exchange for
a portion of your winnings. Applications should be sent in
letter form (messages not accepted) and include a non-refundable 1k
fee (which will be added to the pot, like the 10k competition
fee. This 1k is subtracted from the 10k fee, so those selected
really only pay 9k more). In this application, please include:

Name (very important)
Guild (if rogue, please note that along with the guildskills used)
City of residence
Times normally present in the realms (GMT or US time zone, please)
Why you? (No, I will not be more specific, but I am open-minded)
The 1k application fee

Applications without the 1k fee will not be considered. If there
is not sufficient response to run the competition, the money will
be returned by post.

Mail all applications and message all suggestions to me, Linnia,
as soon as you decide to join in. No deadline for applications
has been set, nor a starting date. The deadline will probably be
in about a year, the announcement of the competitors and final
rules 2-6 months after, and the beginning of the competition on the
nearest significant date after the remaining fees have been
collected.

Oh, I almost forgot the prizes!
About 30% of the pot is expected to go into the smaller rewards
Those who make it into the final team will split 30% of the pot
The third-to-last competitor will receive another 5%
The next will receive 10%
The last will receive 15%
This leaves 10% of the pot for unexpectedly high costs for the
small costs, and barring that, for a charity or two of my own
choosing.
All competitors are guaranteed to enjoy some interesting
competition!

Again, please mail applications to me and message suggestions ASAP

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Daedalan, in the year 343 AF.
