Your confusion was so evident that I felt the
need to attempt to clear one point up for you.

The Church is not Shallam. The Church is a part of
Shallam along with the Sentaari, Dawnstriders
and Magi. Shallam is a city, with its own seperate
governing body and laws. The Church is an
organization made up of two guilds, the Priest
and Paladins.

So as you can see, to some the two might seem
to be the same, but anyone with their eyes open can
see the difference very clearly.
