It's sad really.

Okay, once again I felt I needed to add in my two cents. Well, actually,
since this is costing me 1000 gold, I guess I'm add my 1k.
Anyway, as everyone should probably be now aware, when I first started
my life on Achaea, I was a citizen of Cyrene.
I left Cyrene to join Ashtan, as I didn't really feel Cyrene was for me.
Then, I felt the same about Ashtan. Although I'm still not going to
break any of the Laws of either City, I became a citizen of Mhaldor.
I knew there would be problems when I joined, as people assume just
because you're Mhaldorian, you must be and evil, no-gooder, who's going
to bring nothing but death, destruction and pain to the world.
While I agree that yes, Mhaldor can be evil, I also know that they are
people, just like everyone else.
They just have more freedom to follow the natural course of their life.
Now, I don't plan on leaving Mhaldor, no matter what befalls me because
I choose to live my life within it's walls, but there comes a time when
enough is enough.
The not being allowed in other cities I can deal with, but being told
that I'm no longer allowed to spend time with my friends, or members of
my Guild, really ticks me off.
Frankly, I don't care what anyone thinks of Mhaldorians, they can do as
they please, whenever they please. It's their choice, let them have it.
But I do care when people go and assume that ALL Mhaldorians are alike.
The Church claims to be doing what they do for the greater good of the
people..so being oppressive, judgemental and hateful is for the good of
the people? Causing other's to judge a person just by their citizenship
is for the good of the people? Telling people whom they may and may not
associate with is for the greater good of the people?
Somehow, I think not.
Penned by my hand on the 16th of Scarlatan, in the year 335 AF.
It's sad really.
