I honestly hope I am not bringing to light some well-kept secret, but I
found similar amusement in something that I once daydreamed about,
oh-so-long ago, sitting in the once great and now useless Darkenwood
Forest. I have always found it ironic that the most effective weapon a
Necromancer can wield against the Forests of Achaea is nothing less than
a Fallen Forestal...
As a young Druid, I was quite concerned with the well-being of the
forests. There mere concept that Metamorphosis users have the ability to
alight their surroundings was appalling. It was not really an effective
combat skill, and could only be used in the arena (because obviously the
forests in the arenas aren't really forests, and the burning trees do
not scream out in pain like the Ithmias would, or the Black), unless you
wished to be enemied from the forest, and have your ability to harvest
disabled. (Not fun as a Druid, let me tell you...) Why, I asked on a
number of occasions, do we even have the ability to do this? Of course
no one could answer me at the time, as they certainly did not want me to
think that anyone could _ever_ become discontent with the way jOakstone
runs the world. Such things I had to discover on my own. This revelation
has haunted me for quite some time, now. It is this mere power that
caused me to reject my Druidic teachings... Not out of disgust, but out
of fear: fear that one day I would not be able to restrain myself from
writing profanities and things like "Shade wuz heer, mofos", in the
wilderness maps with inferno, perhaps starting in the Aalen and flying
full circle across the forests. Very tempting. But I decided that this
power over jOakstone, for what could they have done to stop me? ...
would only bring me more sorrow. Being enemied to the forest sucks. But
hey... If you've already dug a hole you have no chance of climbing out
of... Whats another 20 feet straight down? Who knows... Maybe you'll be
able to make it to hell. I'm pretty sure Dalamar has.
Sincerely Amused,
Shade Skar'Akai
