Greetings all,
On request of Lady Aeryi, I am posting a rather long update on the
year-long Phaestian Festival, to honor the Runewardens' patron- Lord
Phaestus, still going on.
I would like to start off with a BIG thank you to all the ones who
participated in, helped out with, judge, and donated to the festival!
Thank you, thank you! I would post up every name who has aided out with
the Festival but I fear I will miss someone and get kaichoked by a Monk.
I've had a great opportunity to meet new people- people from afar cities
(Mhaldor and Ashtan), great fighters, and wise intellecutals.
Congratulations to the winners of the following events that has
happened! :
The Drinking Contest- Lysistrata was the last standing one among the
vomit-filled room.
The Storytelling Contest- Cragborn grabbed the first place with
Goldberry in 2nd and Amara 3rd.
The Relay Race- The blazing team of Prenumbra, Epich, Mael, and Bastad
for first place.
The Massive FFA- Tehar reigned as the last survivor of this tough 34
people full FFA.
The Phaestian Quiz- Altarius won this brain-wracking quiz with 52
points, Lasha trailed in 2nd with 37, Atalanta with 34, and Coran for
31. (Sorry Aldrich that your bribe on Bannor did not work..)
The Hide and Seek- Outstanding job to Thea to find 6 out of 8 places for
1st place, Jerle in 2nd and a tie between Drachius and Tyer for finding
4 out of 8 places.
Congratulations again!
The Boys and Men contest are still going on, take a moment to look at
Mairean's recent post ( )for more information... As for everyone who was
in the Forging compeition- please send Aeryi a tell or message
immediately and as soon as possible, there has been a small unfortunate
happening.
About the Dueling Tournament ongoing... Here are the results so far:
(Check the Event Library for better data, albeit part of it is not
updated yet- http://www.msdhosting.co.uk/phaestianfestival.htm ).
Jinxsta defeats Jhui to move onto the semi-finals. Rocktamer defeats
Kookulk to move onto the semi-finals. Xio defeats Tsavonglah to move
onto the semi-finals. Tehar defeats Raymath to move onto the
semi-finals. Maekar defeats Aldrich to move onto the semi-finals. Tybalt
defeats Washu to move onto the semi-finals. Westwind advances to
semi-finals due to dormancy of Kiryn, Bastad defeats Merith to advance
to the semi-finals. Jinxsta defeats Rocktamer to move onto the quarter
finals. Tehar defeats Xio to move onto the Quarter Finals. Maekar
advances to the quarter finals due to dormancy/problems with Tybalt.
Bastad defeats Westwind to move onto the semi-finals. Tehar and Xio will
be fighting for a place into the final Championship, as will Bastad and
Maekar. It should be truly good to see what happens. As for the "second
bracket tournament", I sent out a message to each participant... You
must contact me or I will be forced to eliminate people to advance the
second bracket.
There are still three months left of contests and events for the
Festival- On Valnuary is the closing of the Boys and Men contest, led by
Mairean. Lupar will be the judging for the Kilt Contest (You
seamstresses and tailors out there need to get the kilts in ! They will
be judged on Originality, Creativity, Style, and How it stays related to
the theme- Phaestian-related, Dwarf-related, or Forging-related!). And
the Festival will end on the next Phaestian with a grandeur prayer rite
and some fireworks.
