Yig,

Perhaps you should confer with your fellow Viceroys before speaking on
this matter. I am unfamiliar with internal Mhaldorian politics, however
Oakstone has been in talks with your City in an effort to resolve this
situation for some days now. Of course, I guess you could be opting to
ignore that simple fact.

If you had been present for the discussions that took place earlier a
few more of your questions may have been answered.

Obviously both parties have interests in resolving the situation. You
can claim that an herb ban has no effect, you can claim whatever you
like. At least some of Mhaldor's members and officials are realistic
enough to recognize that herb bans do have some effect, had they not, we
would not have been in talks.

Eleventh hour negotiations are still possible, however thumbing your
nose at Oakstone indicates that you're not interested in coming to a
mutually beneficial agreement.
