I will start by reiterating something you /have/ read before, but you
chose to otherwise ignore.
The difference bitween Mhaldor and Ashtan, is that Mhaldor is honest
about what it stands for
Hanuman, did you actually read what I wrote at all?
You have totally missed the point of my postings, and seem to have
happily wondered off on a tangent from what was stated. I hope the
therapeutic nature of composing such posts had the desired effect apon
your ego.
As I stated in Public Post No. 10974, the comments about the poverty in
Ashtan were brort on by Mendax's suggestion that Ashtan was a utopian
society. It was to show that Ashtan is not perfect, something you
yourself later go on to state. On this point, if my logic is failing . .
. then so is yours I'm afraid.
When I was referring to the poverty in Ashtan I was referring to Martins
Sorrow, a place in which I have spent a good many years of my life. But,
indeed, why would a Mhaldorian care? I may have once, but the
authorities you are so ready to shower in praise beat that last once of
Ashtanite out of me a long time ago.
When I was a citizen of Ashtan, I presented to the ruling council back
then a proposition to clean up the slums. I was ridiculed for it. As, it
seamed, Ashtan was proud of the oppression within its walls. The
prejudice I received, steamed directly from my connection to Lord Sartan
and His Order in my younger years. If a 'socially' acceptable individual
(i.e. some one who falls into the category you yourself described as
being called 'right') had brort forth the proposal then it may have been
taken into consideration and the oppression you see there everyday would
now have been greatly reduced. More freedom would have been given to
more of your citizens if your authority's had just tried to look past
their blind, judgmental ignorance for a change.
Is not more freedom what you would think the City of the Free would wish
for?
But it seems that because someone who walked the path of Evil once,
suggested the solution to a problem that the problem itself must
therefor be denied, or justified.
Guidance, Hanuman, is an integral part of the learning process. We are
all guided in our life's in some shape or form, /all/ of us are. Weather
it be from a Divine or from ones parents, or from ones City Leaders,
Guild Masters or Guild Secretaries, Novice Heads, Novice Aids or Mentors
to Romeo and Juliet. We /all/ receive guidance. For it is threw guidance
that we learn how to best utilise the knowledge harvested from our
experiences on this long road called life.
But let it be made clear that Lord Sartan does not 'mother' us in
Mhaldor. He terns His attention to only those who pleas Him. To pleas
Him, the individual must be able to educate themselves with 'life
experience', to be able to show positive personal progression,
dedication and faith.
"Your argument is self defeating in that whilst defending the rightness
of governance you grasp at straws with your closing argument stating
that all Mhaldorians are given the chance to learn for themselves. Would
this be afforded to citizens before their dogmatic indoctrination or
after?"
Only the weak systematise themselves into drones, for a Mhaldorian to
truly grow and prosper with in our community, they must be able to learn
for themselves. It is vital that they have this ability, as with out it
there can be no "positive personal progression".
All who come to Mhaldor as citizens do so of their own free will, no one
is brainwashed into joining our ranks, no one is forced to worship Lord
Sartan and Queen Indrani . . . but why else would you come to the City
of Evil and Sin unless you wished to dedicate yourselves to these, two
divine?
Mhaldor is a truthful society. We do not lie to ourselves, our citizenry
or to the world at large as to the purpose of our existence.
Thura indoctrination starts from birth. Very few, if any, Mhaldorians
are born Mhaldorian . . . were as most Ashtanites are born and raised
with in the walls of Ashtan and are constantly exposed to
chaoe-ashtinean propaganda from the moment they are born.
The next post I shall place apon this board shall be a paper I composed
a few years ago now, the subject of which is "Mhaldorian Freedom". It
will enlighten you to my own, personal opinions on some of the topics
you passed over.
