I do not distort facts here. It is you who seems to here, for what you
promote is what I have promoted, and what you say I promote is what I
have explicitly denounced. I did put forth that in my own personal
opinion, governments hinder the ability to persue what one "genuinely
finds inside" as you put it, that when something controls a person (such
as a government, but it really could apply to other things as well) then
that person has a potential barrier to pursuing that path or future
paths he may discover in himself. I also have very explicitly said
repeatedly that freedom, this time in the Vastarian sense rather than my
own opinion, is not about random chaos and doing whatever one wants on a
whim, as you charge I did indeed say. You clearly are not grasping such
writings, though I am heartened that you do display an accurate outlook
on freedom.
I fail to see how I embody alterior motives in this day, as charged, as
I have done nothing here to promote my personal gain. I am not calling
for wealth or power, rather introducing new radical ideas for discussion
amung those interested and in some cases presenting documentable
historical events regarding areas of dispute. I enjoy essay writing and
discussion. It is my personal hobby, though it is always best when
things stay civil rather than degenearting to petty name calling. I
genuinely find inside me that city rulership is a hinderance, and so I
have pursued the path to reflect that and presented radical ideas on the
matter for the sake of discussion. That is all.
I do dislike it when people construe the truth with lies, though, as is
slandered here. Those involved in Ashtan governmental affairs in my time
there such as Revelation, Estach, and Szanthax could attest if they
recall that I had worked, initially prompted somewhat by Revelation, to
find a replacement for the Overseer, whom a fair amount would disagree
with your performance assessment; though as they may recall I put forth
my name as the very last resort since I did not want the job. Skarash
had my full publically posted endorsement when he took the reigns; I did
not desire the power. And it could not have been an attempt to become
archon since I was already archon at the time and was elected earlier on
an aggressive campaign of further limiting governmental power to
hopefully enhance freedoms of the individual citizens.
My one modern attempt at being Demiurge was to replace a Demiurge I was
disatisfied with since no one else was stepping up to do so, and it was
a campaign to (at least attempting to) replace the system we had with
one based on anarchy and severely limit the powers of those in
authority, including the Demiurge. As perhaps the current Demiurge may
be able to recall, my personal conversations would show that I had hoped
someone else to take the reigns and eventually even asked the current
Demiurge to run, though by good fortune plans for such had already been
started.
Nay, there are no alterior motives or tall tales here. My goal at the
moment is to live my quiet life alone in the Vashnars meditating on
philosophies and maths to keep myself amused, writing essays in my spare
time.
If you care to contest anything I write specifically, I am always more
than happy to discuss sources to back up my claims and put them to the
test to see if they do in fact hold water or are flawed. Feel free to
speak with or message me personally on any issues you may have since
this matter appears to be more of a personal affair, rather than public.
Regards,
-Saruman.
