Greetings,

Today, after another day of killing and getting killed, I looked back on
my life. I firmly believe that the meaning of life is taking pleasure in
Life, and being aware of your enjoyment. I joined Ashura because I
wished to master the ART of combat - control of one's body, reflexes,
and timing are part of the pleasures of living for me. And after many
years of relentless training, I have obtained a little bit in terms of
combat readiness. I deeply enjoy combat spars in arena, and FFAs, as
they are classic battles of skill.
Time is life. Every moment of your life is time spent. There are 2 ways
you can spend your time - you can LIVE your time, or you can KILL your
time (also knows as waste it). Living your time is enjoying it - taking
active pleasure in what you are doing, and being aware of it. KILLING
your time is just that, wasting time. There are some people in the lands
whose only purpose seems to be being a thorn in everyone's side. They
hunt for conflict, plunging head first into it, imposing on other
people's enjoyment of life, thwarting it, and taking pleasure in doing
so. Only treachery is more enraging than malice.
I would fight what I perceived to be such people - hunt them down, kill
them, get killed by them, etc...Today, I looked back, and I saw myself
as vindictive, vengeful, and plotting at times. I am not those things -
at least I do not wish to be
it makes me less of a person in my own eyes. I look back, and it feels
that I am KILLING my time doing that, whilst nothing gets
accomplished...everything remains the same, and the people remain the
same.
I do not want to kill my time anymore. I want to live it. I cross out
all my previous conflicts - they are no longer relevant, nor were they
ever worth the time. I will remain in the Ashura, as it is my home and I
feel I belong there, but I step down as the Daymio, and will spend most
of my time in meditation, and generally unreachable. Again, I relinquish
all conflicts. I do not care for confrontations nor machismo - only
purity of combat.

Thank you, Achaea, Good night

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Aeguary, in the year 331 AF.
