The Breadth of Compassion

More than twenty years ago, a dear friend of mine ran across me resting
within Tarah's Temple, reading Her book of teachings. We retired to his
grove where we spent the better part of a day discussing the resting
Goddess. Later, when I sought entrance to Her order, I was asked why I
wanted to join the order of a Sleeping Divine, and my reply was that
even without a teacher, lessons can be followed.
If this is the world while Tarah rests, then Her return could only
herald an era of contentment - not for the world, but for the few who
WANT to be content, the few who disregard rank and reward in order to
live compassionately.
Yes, Jartog, most of the land is too busy killing each other to be
harmonious. Yes, Tear, much of the land might not care if Tarah were to
never return. But I, and Yuna, and others, attempt to live within and
understand the Harmonious Oneness. We follow the lessons of a resting
teacher, and that does not deter us - our chosen truths are no less
valid than the truths of the most active Divine. You might not care, but
we do.
We care.
