Sorley and Mhaldor

Citizens of Hashan,
I belive that whilst much has been learned from Sorley's unacceptable
embezzlement, that there is a couple of questions that remain
unanswered.
Firstly - why did Sorely give the money to Mhaldor? If I was in Sorley's
position I would have gone on a wild credit or equipment buying spree.
Sure, he was maybe trying to start a war between us and Mhaldor, but the
Sorely I knew was extremly anti-mhaldor. In fact, during the recent war
of Eris' child he led me in one of the main raids against Mhaldor,
making his motives very questionable.
Next - why did Mhaldor give the money back to us? I can understnad them
wanting to avoid war, but to the best of my knowledge (someone please
correct me if I'm wrong) the fact that the money went to Mhaldor was
made public by Mhaldor themselves - when they could have laways kept it
secret. Giving the money back to us is very un-Sartan like, and whilst I
have respect for the opinions that some have led, saying we should do
something in exchange for Mhaldor, I think that we should not let
ourselves be led into a false sense of security. Maybe I'm being harsh
on Sartan with being enimied to him, but I've never forgotten what he
did the the lovely, fair Valnurana.
My final point is that Should the money that can be drawn by Ministers
and Regent's be limited. It seems to me that (I belive it was Lord
Twilight) commented he is considering money drawing being limited or
barred for regents so I will leave this one up for debate.
