Dear Hermione,
I am rather disturbed by your last post. What disturbs me the most is
that you take the perhaps 'dishorourable' actions of a guildmate of
mine, and use it as propaganda against my entire guild.
IN your post you had this to say about us: They are dishonourable, low
maggots, who serve Ashtan. They care none other than for themselves.
Is not it dishonourable to maliciously slander an entire guild based on
what you perceive as dishonourable actions on one members part?
There are so many ways to go wrong in that quote, I'll start with the
beginning: dishonour is defined as a loss of honor, disgrace, shame.
indignity. You accuse us all of having these attributes, so tell me, how
does the young Choate whose only been in the guild for less than a month
disgrace themself in learning their lesson and studying for their
requirements or searching the realms for knowledge and understanding as
our young scholars and chaotes do? How can you honestly and seriously
call somebody who hasn't even had the -chance- yet to disgrace themself
dishonorable?
Maggots? last time I checked I'm a human, I eat mutton and drink mead, I
sleep, I go throughout my day just as many other mortals do. A maggot is
a lowly being, one who disrespects the Divine in such a way that they
get made into 'less than' the rest of us. You are not Divine, so who are
you to decide that an entire guilds actions are so offensive that we are
lower than the rest of Sapience?
Since when is loyalty and devotion to ones city a bad thing? I will not
deny it, I serve Ashtan, I am an Ambassador aide (hopefully eventually
Ambassador), when a citymate needs help I come running if I can. How
does this make me a bad person? How does it make my city mates and
guildmates who do the same bad people?
lastly you say we only care about ourselves. In speaking for myself I
can honestly tell you that I love my family more than I love myself. I
love my city and my guildmates and my friends, I love my guilds Matron,
and I love knowledge. I love many things other than myself, and many
things more than myself, so before you go accusing me (and my
guildmates) of such a lowly thing, try being me or atleast knowing me.
The bottom line is that if you wish to speak ill of my guildmate because
you feel his actions were dishonourable and poor, then do so, but do
-not- go about maliciously slandering my guild because of one man's
actoins, one man who is not even a leader of any sort (and still a
probate if I'm not mistaken) unless you are prepared with proof to state
that your acusations are true.
