Thank you for excerpts from the Dark Books. I must note, however, that
you have thoughtfully selected passages. These very same passages and
concepts I have read in your books LONG time ago, when the guild was as
you described it: power-hungry. Now you call upon them to support your
claim the order has changed? Hmm. Allow me to remain...how did you call
me...blind.
I wish to make a certain refinement in my previous statements. Today, i
spoke to a very intelligent Darkwalker. He wished to discuss my post
with me. Perhaps intentionally, in Dark manner, he had me talk more than
himself, listening mostly. I dare say we both enjoyed the discussion. In
it, i was able, i believe, to better word where the core of my mistrust
lies. It is as follows:
Putting aside my philosophical distaste for Dark philosophy, given the
current claim that the guild has changed from the power focus to the
spiritual, what do I KNOW of Dark Order's? Nothing. But what do I,
little mortal, know about anything really? Only what I perceive and
reason. I judge the intent of things based on their past actions and
their interests. Everyone acts in their own interests. These interests
can vary vastly from utterly selfish to altruistic. What do i know of
Dark order's interests? Only that they vary VASTLY, and have
historically rarely taken in consideration others' interests. It is the
combination of these factors (notorious reputation and hidden interest)
that makes me apprehensive about the words *Trust our intent*.

PS: Another things that makes me apprehensive is your flare for the
dramatic, but that's just my sensibilities talking
