Again, the Church

Gawain has an annoying habbit of not reading the news he responds to.
(For another example of Gawain's sloppy reading, see Public News 94
and 95.) Otherwise, he would have realized that I had read the scriptures
he refers to and wondered if the Church felt up to clarifying the
vagueness of those scriptures for these modern times. Of course, I
suppose I ought not to be surprised that all Gawain can muster is a
dogmatic recitation of that which is already written rather than penning
his own thoughts.

In any event and in the perhaps vain hope that a Church member can read
and write, I will attempt to be clearer in my questions. The scriptures
state that "the amount of attention [the Church] might give to any single
God waxes and wanes with the attention the members Templars and Priests
individually give." This being the case, will the Church care to disclose
which gods are currently waxing and waning? Again, the only preaching I
have heard is Gawain's sermon in the name of Thoth. (I am sure others also
heard it since Gawain shouted his sermon at the time.) Again, the only
disclosure that I recall of a templar entering a god's order was Gawain's
entrance into the ranks of Balance. To be blunt, are Death and Balance
that which the Church's is giving a suitable "amount of attention" to
qualify as the current divinities that are waxing?

These scriptures also claim that the Church "is still a force for order"
and that its founders "represent the forces of Order" to the point that
they "fought to push back what they viewed as the ever-growing chaos."
Does the Church still "represent the forces of Order"? If so, in these
modern times, will the Church disclose if there is still an "ever-growing
chaos" in their opinion and how they will attempt to "push back" this
chaos? As representatives of "the forces of Order", will the Church begin
imposing and enforcing any laws?

I sincerely encourage any Church member besides Gawain to answer these
questions that are on the minds of many Achaeans. However, if all the
Church will do is reiterate what has already been written, please don't
bother to answer. Your silence will be answer enough.
