I did not want to respond to the words of a blind man, yet his post did
remind me of a conversation that I held some years ago. For in those
days, I sought to escape my nature, and block out the Darkness within by
submersion in light. Of course, my quest was a failure, for I could no
more leave Darkness than a fish can survive out of water. But during
that attempt, I did hold a very deep conversation with a highly ranked
member of the Church, who questioned my intent and my past. When I spoke
of my days with the Dark Lord, she was amazed, for little of what I said
matched the public perception of the Dark One.

For it is true that most of you remember Him before His greater nature
was revealed once more. You remember the order of cruelty, order of
lies, order of backstabbing and power struggles. You remember the order
of which Xandor was a stereotype. You remember an order which once
seeked world domination - and achieved it, to such an extent that the
Logos Himself had had to step in to break the monopoly. You remember an
Order who once came inches within destroying the world as you know it.

You remember, in fact, the infantile steps of the Dark Order. For as
people grow, so does the Divine Truth accessible to them, and so did the
Dark one lay in wait, until those who were ready to embrace the true
mysteries came to be. Know, then, that the Dark Father is not the God of
Lies, nor is Deceit His primary realm. For the basis of Darkness is
knowledge - of the self, of the mind, of mastery - over oneself.
Manipulation, you say? Yes, we do learn manipulation. Of oneself. Power,
you say? Yes, we do learn how to rule - for those who master themselves
often naturally drift to leadership.

But that is not the cause, effect, or even a major aspect of Darkness.
The projection of our actions on this world is a result of a long and
tedious process of study, based on the Seven Principles.

The Multiverse is Mental - The Mind is all. We seek to KNOW, to
understand. We begin with Ourselves. We know our nature, our impulses,
and we accept it. What is more - we accept that our Truth is as valid as
your Truth. But it is with our Truth that we are concerned. We do not
seek to push our dogma down anyone else's throat. We are content to
KNOW, and through knowing to BE.

As above, so below. Every one of the darkwalkers can stand up and say, I
AM DARKNESS. For the Father is Above, and His children are below, yet we
are all One. The order of darkness is the single most intense religious
experience, for the follower, through KNOWING and SEEKING, through
UNDERSTANDING, merges with the very essence of the Divine - yet it
requires a deeper discipline, loyalty, and love of the Dark One than any
other Divine has ever demanded. Some Gods may ask Their followes to die
for Them. But we - we live for Father, because by doing so, we live for
ourselves.

Nothing rests, everything moves, everything vibrates. In motion, in
change, in growth lies the way of darkness. We do not sit within a web
of intrigue and brood, as so many of you would like to believe. Every
day, we seek an avenue of understanding. A lie is abhorrent to a true
Darkwalker - a lie warps reality, and it is the real which we seek to
Know.

Everything is Dual, everything is polar. Unlike so many others, we do
not mark boundaries, nor do we declare that anything is everything. We
recognize the simple truth that dark and light are one, with the
extremes acting as the poles. Thus, our truths do not contradict those
of light - we merely are at another extreme of the same concept. Good
and evil, order and chaos, white and black - all have a grayscale
between the poles of the globes which are the Concepts. We do not claim
darkness to be ALL. We recognize the validity of other realms, their
necessity, their own truths. We live by ours, but we do not blind
ourselves to yours. We listen. We seek. We understand.

Everything flows, in and out. Everything has its tides. Like the cycles
of the Moon, the fall and rise of great cities, the flow of the ocean,
so does the Darkwalker rise and fall with the tides of time. We are not
logs within the river of existence - we are swimmers, but as such we do
not fight the flow - we let its motions attune to ours, and rise and
fall, as all things must. Thus, each Darkwalker must know humility, for
those of great pride shall not survive the Fall.

Every cause has its effect, every effect its cause. We do not deal in
mindless games, we do not engage in things that disturb the rhythm of
creation. Our path is that of logic and knowledge, and as such, we do
not need a hidden cause to act - the root of all our actions lies in the
nature of the goal. You seek for lies? There are none. We may conceal,
but we do not lie. Lies have no cause - they are non-entities. Truth has
existence as its cause. A darkwalker's truth is a truth grounded in the
real. Far too often, the deception that occurs happens merely because a
truth is assumed to be a lie -- but truth it is. We are not blind, we
are not sheep. We see in light, but we are not blinded by the darkness.
We know why we exist, why we love our Lord, and further - we know
Ourselves. Can you say the same for yourself? If so, then you too have
found a path to the One - for there are many. If not, then open your
eyes and search, for the path is open to any - through Chaos, through
Light, through Nature, Knowledge, Darkness, Evil. It is there. But do
not be blinded by prejudice. Know the cause, for then the effect cannot
be doubted.

Gender is in everything. There is strength and gentleness, male and
female, in every aspect of existence.

These are the Seven Tenets of Darkness. These are the basis for all our
beliefs, our teachings, our knowledge. That is a simple fact. This is
the theology of Lord Twilight Trismegistus Unveiled, not a petty God of
lies, but the Thrice-Great, the champion of Reason for those with eyes
open enough to perceive it. We do not ask you to agree with us - your
path is your own, your beliefs are your own. We accept your beliefs as
yours. Accept ours as ours. If you will question us, question us on
actions and facts. Do not question us on the basis that you think that
Lord Twilight is the god of lies, thus everything we say is a lie. That
is a primitive, a childish response. If you shall be our enemy, then
know your enemy. If you will be our friend, then know your friend

And if you shall be content to dwell beside us in harmony, neither enemy
nor friend, then may the Night shelter you, and may you find your truth
on the path of your choosing. For every reality is valid - yet every
reality must be open to change and understanding. If truth, when freely
offered, is rejected - then you are a slave to your own prejudice, and
live not in a haven of truth, but in a prison of a lie you have created
for yourself.

I am Darkness, and I tell you that you have a right to BE.
