First off, this message is from myself, Taran, in a purely personal
capacity. I speak for no-one but myself.


In case anyone is under any illusions about the nature of the leadership
of Shallam I thought I would share my recent experiences of it with you
all. On 3rd Scarlatan, after attending the Free-For_All event there, I
found myself slightly lost after I came out. I wandered around asking
people directions, (real people who will remember me). I also had a
brief rather strange conversation with 2 rather strange chaps about a
deadly chicken. They were definitely strange but absolutely real and it
shouldn't be too hard to find them again.

Now, when someone did finally show me the way out of Shallam, as I left
the gate I got enemied by Starrsong. When I asked why she told me I was
"helping Khaseem". When I asked what he was doing and in what way was I
helping him she told me that 2 anonymous people had apparently
discovered that I was "acting as a portal target".


Now, this was simply not true so I sent a messenger to their head of
security immediately asking him to find out about these 2 people,
whether they actually exist and, if so, what evidence they had presented
or what had made them suspect that someone leaving an arena event had to
be plotting an attack on their city.

Qwilleran contacted me, gave me no information about these 2 people, who
remain anonymous, or, more likely a figment of Starrsong's overactive
and paranoid imagination. Instead he said that in a year he would
discuss with me what it will take to get me unenemied.

Basically, I got enemied for no reason, and now am being told that I
will have to pay some sort of fine or something to get unenemied! This
is extortion pure and simple. Theft.

I have to say that if I was a citizen of Shallam I would be extremely
concerned that my head of security..let me say that again to make sure
it sinks in, the HEAD OF SECURITY in Shallam is nothing but a cheap
extortionist, con artist and thief.

I strongly urge the people of Shallam to think about a replacement if
they want to feel safe from their own ruling body and in order to
maintain the ideals they claim.
