You state that no knights complain about not having leather. Ha! Which
rock have you been sleeping under? Have you not seen the offers for 300
gold per leather on the market channel? Have you truely not heard
complaints or do you choose to ignore them?
Regardless of your ability to hear, there is a deeper issue and that is
one person is exploiting the market for personal gain, forcing leather
prices to absurd heights in order to extort money out of those who need
leather. The fact that he chose leather is not as important as the fact
that he is abusing a monopoly.

The only way to stop this is to do as Sir Brinn suggested and not buy
leather from him if he insists upon keeping leather prices inflated.
