You'd think you could be frog enough to post for yourself...

I address this to Jack, not because he actually had the guts to post
something that the rest of the enchanters in his guild disagree with,
but because of the obvious indication that he had Glor make a post for
the Warlocks when he couldn't step up himself. Quick question for Glor,
did he at least reimburse your scribe the 1000 gold? If not, come find
me and I'll gladly do so on his behalf.

As those in my guild can attest, along with those from the Crown of the
Ithmia, I tend to be slightly verbose in nature. Consider this a
friendly warning in advance. On to the meat of the post...

I would like to thank Solar for bringing the basic background
information to the general public and to those of the Warlocks who are
most likely unaware of the actions of their guildmaster, as he has the
tenacious propensity to not be able to see past himself. There are a few
things that she addressed that I would like to elaborate on, as well as
to bring some things to light that she did not.

As was mentioned in the previous posting, many attempts had been made by
three of the mage GM's to meet and discuss a revision to the pricing
portion of the enchantment treaty, which was established back when there
were but two mage guilds within the lands. After the zero participation
of Warloc, who was the then GM of the Warlocks, in trying to meet and
address this issue, Jack took it upon himself to remove the Warlocks
from an oath that bound three guilds to the same pricings for the sale
of enchantments. This he did before becoming Guildmaster and while the
other three mage guilds were waiting for an election in the Warlocks to
end to open discussions. As Jack was not the GM at that time, he didn't
have the necessary authority to do this and I personally didn't
recognize what he did as being something officially binding for that
reason alone. Jack sent me a nice, 'just so you know...' message before
becoming guildmaster that the Warlocks were pulling out of the pricing
portion of the treaty, due partially to frustration on their part that
the Arcanists weren't being held to any such treaty. The Arcanists held
to the pricing and illegals portion throughout this with the exception
of giving a discount to the citizens of Cyrene, something that they of
course could do.

After the latest guild election was over in the Warlocks, Jack posted on
a forum that was created to ease the communication between the mage
guilds demanding that we gather to discuss a new pricing agreement. As I
already mentioned, it was his guild that had failed to make the
necessary steps to do this in the first place. The rather important
issue of trust had been violated by Jack previously by removing his
guild from the pricing agreement of the treaty and in a conversation
between him and myself, I asked that he show us a sign of good faith by
returning to the agreement that bound three guilds together. Something
which he promptly refused. I then made the stipulation that the
Sorcerers' guild would not be entering into any discussions until this
matter was rectified, a stipulation placed back in the beginning of
Phaestian in 317 AF.

Nowhere in the time between the request for this stipulation to be met
and the meeting that Jack stormed out of last month was any attempt made
by the Guild of the Warlocks to comply with an oath that was made to
abide by a pricing agreement established well over 50 years ago.

Amazingly enough, at this same meeting that Jack left in his own version
of a 'tisy fit' (for future reference, that's hissy fit), Jack said that
as long as we wouldn't agree to a new pricing agreement that there would
be no such thing as illegals in his guild. I'll spare everyone the long
story involved with the general concensus of this not being something
Jack felt applied to himself anyway, as Solar said, information for an
entirely seperate posting. This would be one area that I need to correct
Solar on, as it wasn't but ten minutes after Jack left this meeting that
Glor made two public postings, blaming the Sorcerers and myself for this
'no more illegals' approach by his guild. So it is and so shall it be...

The Guild of the Sorcerers is fully prepared at this time to create any
items that were once considered illegal for the sale and distribution to
any person within the realms that does not claim citizenship in Ashtan.
Nothing against the members of the city of freedom, but the Sorcerers'
guild feels that these items wouldn't be used against the one guild that
we have a direct issue with, that being of the Warlocks. We have not
currently made any of these items that we still deem illegal, though
there is considerable doubt on the guild level that Jack hasn't already
done so himself. This preparation to create and distribute these items
is to put the guild of the Sorcerers and the citystate of Hashan on an
even playing field so as not to be placed at a disadvantage due to the
decision of one person. This was not a decision that the Sorcerers'
guild takes lightly, nay it is one that we only made out of necessity.
Until such time as Jack is no longer Guildmaster of the Warlocks, this
is the stance of the Sorcerers' guild as we feel that not only can
Jack's word not be trusted, but neither can his actions. If at any time
there should be a different Guildmaster for the Warlock's guild, I will
be the first to try to open the avenues of discussion to help expediate
the process of the discontinued distribution of items that harms the
mage guilds more than any other.

The citizenry of Hashan is already aware of the pricings for these items
and for the other enchantment items. For those who wish this
information, anyone is more than welcome to contact a member of the
Sorcerer's guild, who can pass the information along. As has been stated
on the city boards of Hashan, it is up to the individual enchanter if
they wish to make these items deemed illegal in the past. If they do
not, the guild leadership will support them in their convictions and we
ask now that they not be harrassed for their decision.

Best regards,
Caleth Le'Murzen, Sorcerer Lord
