and anyone else who may care

Mlady, I have thought about this for a little while, and I wanted to say
a few words. Before I say them though, I would like to say that I am NOT
speaking as an official voice of the Ashura, but rather as an individual
Ashuran, speaking his mind. My words are my own, and I alone am
responsible for them.
A wise man once said *All other things being equal, that which is
simplest, tends to be correct*. The Ashura is a simple guild. We are
tightly bound by a few principles, which we uphold to the best of our
abilities. What does a mortal have in life that's worth living? An acute
awareness of the elusive *I* and Will...to act and choose. Without those
two things, nothing else matters. We train ourselves in the Ways of
Body, Mind, and Spirit, to increase our awareness and control of the
Self. There is nothing more beautiful than Control...of one's body,
one's mind, and one's Will. We devote our life to this. Our purpose is
self-fulfillment and self-actualization, in synchronicity with Ashuran
traditions and values. We are like fish, who willingly choose swim the
stream of Ashuran destiny, including its past and its future. When
choices come before us, we choose as best as we mortals can - there is
no place for malice in our choices. We may not preach honour, like some
guilds - but we maintain common decency, always. Please...don't feel
like you've been stabbed in the back. Again, neither malice nor deceit
is in Ashuran intent. Our river of fate had to take a turn...and those
who had the power to steer its course made a choice - with the guild
interest in their mind.
I fully understand your reaction: you have your nature. And we have
ours. We live, we choose, we grow. There is no malice in our choices.

An Ashuran, always

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Mayan, in the year 317 AF.
