Public News Post #10113

Try 'researching the facts'. It can be helpful.

Interesting post, Yig, but I advise you to obtain all the facts, take a
deep breath, and count to ten before you make such grand sweeping
statements. A few points I'd like to correct:

"...Well played, Ransom. Well played. I cannot deny it. You were loyal
to the Naga from day one, and have betrayed us..."

Hmm, if your idea of loyalty is that skewed, it's no wonder you haven't
found any of the other agents in your midst. Strangely enough, even
though I openly landmarked -for- Shallam as a Naga, never offered a drop
of blood to Sartan in the four years I spent in Mhaldor, and acted the
complete and utter bumbling imbecile when 'assisting' your friends in
their little wars, you still didn't catch on.

"...I suppose my lack of insight to your character is only marginally
balanced by my foresight to allow you no access to gold..."

Your lack of insight into my character is only rivaled by your lack of
insight into my conviction against evil. It's a pity your hatred for all
things good blinded you to the truth.

"...Shallam, I entreat you and yours. Cast the serpent Ransom from your
walls. He stole nothing from me but my pride, and that heals. But he
stole hundreds and hundreds of lessons from my guild. 84 members he
outguilded. less than 10% of them had earned class in my young guild.
This is not an good or evil issue, this is Ransom stealing lessons from
players who did nothing to him..."

Why should they cast me from their ranks, Yig? I never betrayed them.
You and Mistral promote the art of Sabotage - infiltrating the ranks of
the enemy, gathering information, subverting the populace, and
neutralizing them when done. You openly encourage traitorous acts
against other organizations, yet when one is performed against you, you
moan and whine like bedraggled orphans. Tell me, Yig, honestly, if the
tables were turned, would you be complaining? Wipe your nose and grow
up. If only one of your former guildmembers rethinks his role in your
guild, if only one of your former eager young minds turns from the
slaughter of innocents to a more wholesome role in this world, then I am
happy. This is your wake-up call, Yig. Are you making this world a
better place, or are your bloody and gruesome actions as a guild
bringing about our destruction?

"...I assume that the people of Shallam, and their leaders, had nothing
to do with this. And I hope that justice will be done. If you keep
Ransom within your walls, I offer advice that was given me about another
Secretary..."

Hmmph. As a wise man once said long ago, what good is a secret plan if
everybody knows about it? Some of us were smart enough to figure it out.
The rest were in the dark until a short while ago. And, believe me,
justice will be done. I have confidence in the Divine, They will deal
with me as They see fit. And meanwhile, I watch with amusement as as the
issues from your 'self-sufficient' guild roll in. What happened to
handling things yourself, Yig?

"...Keep a known traitor in your house at your own risk..."

Fine words from you, Yig, as you hide your own guild's funds from a
secretary, who, in your words, "has bitten every single hand that's fed
her." Very fitting.

"...Yig Dracrotalus..."

Wow, finally something I agree with. Yep, you're Yig, and that's all
you'll ever be.

I'm sure in a short time I'll be rustling my leafy branches in the wind.
Feel free to come by and water me some time.

I am Ransom.

Live well, Achaea.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Sarapin, in the year 317 AF.
