Sartan, Mhaldor, and the Maldaathi

Greetings, Sapience

I have recently been ejected from the Maldaathi and Mhaldor, as a
traitor.
I now have many knights of evil hunting for my head. So be it.

But let it be known that I have never acted in a traitorous manner. Know
that I worked for everything I had, and I worked for the betterment of
the guild and the city. Let it be known that I never assaulted or
sabotaged a Maldaathi or Mhaldor. Let it be known that I, who had raised
as a Dominion and a Minister within Mhaldor, and a Knight of Pain within
the Maldaathi, supported their cause with every ounce of conviction I
had. It was my life.

I fought against the Aegians as they invaded Baelgrim time and time
again. I fought against the Inferno as it raged within the fortress as
Aegis was smitten by a rage of godly proportions. I fought against the
Church for landmark supremacy, slaying many, being slain by many. I
killed many, many of my own fellow Atavians for their blood, merely to
dump into a waterfall that would be taken back by the church. I worked
towards the betterment and strengthening of the city with the commodity
hoarding that seems so essential to Sapience these days. I taught many
novices in the way of Chivalry, Necromancy, Weaponry, Survival, honour,
and the Maldaathi way. I grew to see many of those whom I had taught
grow into fine knights. A few even left on my behalf, protesting my
treatment. Now I see those same knights I served so well after my head.
I do not protest it, for I know that it is the way of the guild, and
likely would have acted the same manner as they are now.

I have lost everything that I worked for and gained, and am upset by it,
but it can be overcome. Know now that I no longer have affiliation with
Mhaldor, not by choice, but by design. All those whom I have wronged in
the past, please forgive me my trespasses as I attempt to gather my wits
about me.

I hold no hatred of anybody, nor any malice to the guild and city that
scorned me. It is law. I hold no distaste for the Malevolent One, it is
His way that left me here without a home or a career. All I have left
now is my family, and that which resulted in my discharge, my membership
in the order of Lord Caspian.

Now, Maldaathi, I still respect the guild, and I know why you have done
what you have done. But let it be known that should you send your
knights to hunt me, I will not die without a fight. I am disgraced, but
not shattered. I will not attack you, but I will defend myself. I am
strengthened by the words of my comrades and friends. I am strengthened
by my faithful warhawk. I am strengthened by my blades, and by the
powers that you yourself gave me.

Long live Mhaldor, long live the seas.

Sir Neko Vorondil, Forever a Knight.
