Poetry News Post #977

a tree and a life

Written by: Druidess Lovissalyn Weltsdown, Hot Potato
Date: Thursday, January 10th, 2002
Addressed to: Everyone

Tummult surrounds calm in the storm
with every gentle rain
there must be a hurricane
fire sworn to loathe
burns inside my heart hot with passion and fear
nothingness appears with a gentle whisper
but fills a place in confusion
friends are doubted peace threatened
the large ones always fall with a crash
but I fell with a calm
I thought about you...did you know?
the way you rest your hand on your palm
the way you ponder the restlessness of life
Forgive me for the passions I feel
Love me for I have nothing else

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Daedalan, in the year 296 AF.
