My vow to you.

Written by: Brother Darryl Winterhart, Gaian Monk

Shrouded in darkness my heart proved to be.
My judgement was clouded, and I could not see.
Fueled by a desire for undying love, I achieved only blind lust.
For myself and my heart, I gave up hope and lost all trust.
Then you came back into my life with open arms and heart.
One smile from you brought back memories from my youthful start.
Because of you, a ghost from my past had been revived.
The passion and determination I felt for life had survived.
The past is over, never to return.
It matters not how much for it we yearn.
And the future is not certain, not yet written in stone.
Who can tell what will occur before too long?
But to you, my love, before the world I make this vow.
All of my todays and all of my tomorrows,
All of my strength and all of my soul,
All of my mind and all of my heart,
And all other things that I can impart.
All that I am and ever will be,
I am giving it all to you freely.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Ero, in the year 293 AF.
