I thought, " I will catch the pretty bird. Put it in this cage,
keep it for myself."

With delight I tracked over field and water
Starry-eyed at the plunder I would take

With zeal I swam over channel and creek-bed
Mesmerized with the treasure that would be mine

And when I had sprung the trap, caught the bird
I saw that it was not the having of it
But the knowing of it, that was my prize

Be free, Love.
May the One give me strength to believe the words I say

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Mayan, in the year 292 AF.
