The Lord's Prayer

they cast You out,
they destroyed Your shrines,
not the first bout,
but the last time?

betrayed by mere mortals,
who must not understand,
all of their portals,
will be closed by Your hand.

they will understand in due time,
that they are each just a clown,
their dieties will wither,
fire You will rain down.

patiently we wait,
only You in our hearts,
for the time and the date,
You return to these parts.
