The Path of Life

Before we met we both walked paths strewn with obstacles, some merely
speed bumps others nearly impossible to overcome. One day our paths
crossed each other. We have continued to walk our own paths, while never
losing site of the other. There were times when we thought we might lose
one another through the trees and times when our paths seemed as one.
Despite all the obstacles we have now arrived at a branch where our two
paths have met and leave us with a choice. From this crossroads we can
each take our separate paths, or we can continue together down a single
path. As I stand here looking down my path I see nothing but darkness
and gloom ahead, perhaps there is sunshine beyond what I can see,
perhaps not. I then glance down the path that can choose to walk
together. I see down that path sunshine brighter than any I have seen
before. I notice there is a sign that bears a warning, "there will be
storms and rough spots in this path." Despite this warning I feel as
though this is the correct path. I look over at you and I know that
there is nothing down this path that we can't get through together.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Ero, in the year 290 AF.
