fair lady that with gentle rains
awakens mountains, hills and plains
to joyous outburst of new life
and takes away dark winters pains
behold, thou maketh the blossoms blaze
in lovely splendour to my gaze
and hear, thou maketh the warbler sing
invisibly in branches maze
each year thou bringeth sweet delight
with every day a shorter night
and every night a longer day
without thy warmth my heart would die
therefore, oh spring, do not deny
your coming to this world, i pray

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Valnuary, in the year 288 AF.
