A Symphany

A symphany of crickets
harkened my arrival
To the hill.
Where as lovers
We journeyed once.
I inhaled the cold night's air.
It burned my nose
And tore at my throat.
Though I was alone
And the spot secluded
I could smell your pipe smoke
And almost see your face before me.
Once again,
The way it was then
When you still longed for me
Those times we were apart.
The sparkle in your eye
The twinkle of your soul.
For one last kiss before we left,
For one last touch before we parted.

Scavenger the Ever Seeking...

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Ero, in the year 243 AF.
