A Grook cannot wear earrings
for they do not have ears
with envy we watch the twinkle
of rings in ears of peers.

Wouldn't it be something
to take your ears for myself
to cut them off briskly
and store them on a shelf.

Then find an unhinged surgeon
willing to work for some gold,
Sew the ears upon my head
My ear-ringed ears now quite bold.
