After the Eclipse

The tide returned to itself
as all tides eventually do.

Still,
for one impossible moment,
the sea held
both moonlight
and dawn.

And the whole world
was there to be reached.

Some things are not meant
to remain.

Only to be witnessed
fully.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Sarapin, in the year 1004 AF.
